Who you are buying from.

Scrapejig is made and sold by its developer, trading as Scrapejig, in England. For anything on this page, including refunds, write to support@scrapejig.com. Payment is taken by Stripe, and their receipt is your proof of purchase.

What a Pro licence is.

One payment, £29 at the introductory price, for a licence that does not expire, renew or count seats. It unlocks one thing in the extension: Export Python, which writes the generated Playwright script to a file you keep. Picking fields, the live preview and Copy CSV are free with or without it, and stay free.

A licence is for one person. It works on up to three machines at once. Sign in on a fourth and the machine you used least recently drops off the licence, quietly, so a replaced laptop never locks you out. If you genuinely need more than three at a time, ask.

The key itself is not for passing on. Do not share it, resell it, sublicence it or publish it. A key we can see is being shared is pinned to the machines it is already on, or revoked.

The scripts you export are yours. They are plain Python that imports Playwright and nothing of ours, no licence terms attach to them, and you may edit, run, copy and share them as you like. Nothing in these terms reaches into a file on your machine. The extension is the part you are licensed rather than sold: its code, its name and its mark stay ours, and you may not decompile it, repackage it or redistribute it.

Delivery.

The key is emailed to the address you give at checkout, immediately after payment, and you type it into the extension's side panel. If it has not arrived within an hour, check the spam folder, then use the panel's resend option or write to support.

A licence needs Python 3 and Playwright on your machine to be useful, because the thing it unlocks is a Python file. That is said on the homepage before the price, and it is repeated here so that nobody buys without knowing it. Both are other people's software, installed by you under their own licences: we do not supply them, do not charge for them, and are not responsible for them.

Fourteen days, no questions.

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have a statutory right to cancel a distance purchase of digital content within fourteen days. That right ends once supply begins with your consent — and a licence key is supplied immediately, which is the point of buying one. So at checkout you agree to immediate supply and acknowledge that doing so ends your statutory right to cancel.

We give the fourteen days back anyway, voluntarily. Change your mind within fourteen days of buying, for any reason or none, and email support with the address you bought under. The payment is refunded to the card you paid with, through Stripe, and the key is revoked. There is no form and nothing to justify. Any script you already exported stays yours: it is a file on your machine, and revoking a key cannot reach it.

Faults are different and are not time-limited to fourteen days. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content that is not as described, not fit for purpose or not of satisfactory quality entitles you to a repair, a replacement or a price reduction, however long ago you bought.

To ask for either, email support from the address you bought under, or quote your Stripe receipt. Refunds return to the card you paid with; Stripe's own timing is five to ten working days.

What revoking a key does, and does not do.

A key is revoked when a payment is refunded, when a card issuer reverses a payment, or by hand if a key is being shared well beyond three machines. A revoked key stops validating the next time the extension checks it, which happens when you open the side panel and at most once every thirty days, so Export Python stops working in the extension.

That check asks one question — is this key still good — and only a clear no from the licence server changes anything. No connection, our server down, a month of either: the key keeps working, because there is nothing to renew and no grace period to run out. Nothing you have exported depends on that check either.

It cannot touch anything you have already exported. A script is a file on your machine; revoking a key cannot reach it, and we would not want it to. That is a deliberate choice, not an oversight.

Prices.

£29 is the introductory price. If it rises, the rise is announced on the changelog and by email to the launch list at least two weeks before it takes effect. A rise never affects a licence already bought, because there is nothing to renew. Prices are shown in pounds sterling; the page may show an approximate local equivalent, and Stripe charges the pound amount.

What you are responsible for.

You choose which sites to point Scrapejig at, and the script it writes runs on your machine, from your address, under your name. Whether scraping a particular site is allowed — by its terms, by its robots directives, by the rate it will tolerate, or by the law where you or it are — is your judgement to make. Scrapejig does not check whether a site permits scraping, and it never runs anything on your behalf.

What is not promised.

Websites change, and a script that worked on Monday may need a selector edited on Friday. The extension is built to make that edit easy, not to make it unnecessary. Beyond that, it is supplied as it is: we do not promise it will infer the right selector on every site, or that a script it wrote will keep working once the site changes.

Beyond your statutory rights, liability for anything arising from the licence is limited to the price you paid. We are not liable for lost profit, lost data, lost business, or for what someone else does in response to a script you ran. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else the law does not allow to be limited.

Law.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to its courts. If you are a consumer elsewhere in the United Kingdom you may bring a claim in your own nation's courts, and if you are a consumer outside the United Kingdom you keep any protection your local law makes mandatory.

This page, with the Stripe receipt for your purchase, is the whole agreement between us about the Pro licence.

Changes to these terms.

The date at the top is the date of the version you are reading. A change applies to purchases made after it, never to a licence already bought.
