Who makes this.

One person, in England, working alone. support@scrapejig.com reaches me and nobody else, and I answer it myself, usually within a day. There is no team behind that address and no queue in front of it.

The code lives under github.com/Scrapejig. The public repository there is Scrapejig/examples: real Playwright scripts that Scrapejig exported, each one run against the live site before it was committed. If you want to know what you are buying before you buy it, read those rather than this page.

Why it exists.

The same afternoon kept repeating. Open devtools, find the selector, paste it into a script, discover the pagination is different on this site, start again. Nothing about it was hard and all of it was slow, and none of it was the work I actually wanted done.

Scrapejig is that afternoon compressed into a few clicks. Working out the selectors, the live preview and writing the code all happen inside the extension, and then it gets out of the way. What you keep is one Python file, named after the site it scrapes: plain Python that imports Playwright and nothing of ours, running on your machine, against a site of your choosing. It is a file, not a subscription that runs your scrapes.

What happens to your key if I stop.

Nothing, to the part that matters. The Python Scrapejig exports has no licence check in it, no phone-home and no dependency on scrapejig.com. Every script you have already exported keeps running whatever becomes of me, this site or the licence server.

The extension is the only part that checks. Once a key is activated it is re-checked at most once every thirty days, and if that check cannot be made — my server down, your wifi, me gone — nothing changes and your key keeps working. Only a clear no from the licence server changes anything, and the terms list the three things that cause one.

The name.

Jig as in a woodworker's jig: the thing you build once so the next hundred cuts come out the same.
